Erasmus+ CBHE Results 2025

The results of the 2025 Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) call have been announced, with several Algerian institutions participating in selected projects, including one structural project coordinated by an Algerian university and, for the first time, a project coordinated by an Algerian research center.
University of Tlemcen Coordinates a Structural Project

The University of Tlemcen has been selected to coordinate the structural project titled “Mediterranean Higher Education Leadership Academy.” It is the only structural CBHE project retained in the Southern Mediterranean region in 2025. The project brings together 11 partners, including universities, ministries, and organizations from Algeria, Tunisia, Ireland, Slovenia, and Spain. It aims to enhance leadership capacities and governance systems in higher education institutions and public authorities.

CRAT Becomes First Algerian Research Center to Coordinate a CBHE Project

The Research Center for Territorial Planning (CRAT) is the first Algerian research center to coordinate a CBHE project under Erasmus+. The selected project, “Strengthening Digital Capacities for the Promotion of Cultural and Tourism Heritage,” focuses on building digital skills to support cultural and tourism development, involving partners from Algeria, the Republic of the Congo, Turkey, and Italy.

Algerian Universities Join Regional Green Hydrogen Skills Initiative

Algerian institutions are also participating in the project “Green Hydrogen Skills for Mediterranean Higher Education,” coordinated by the University of Gabès (Tunisia). The project brings together universities from Algeria, Tunisia, Jordan, Greece, and Poland, and aims to foster new academic programs and skills related to green hydrogen technologies.
