Coordination Meeting on capacity building project, Guelma University

The National Erasmus+ Office (NEO) in Algeria participated in the coordination meeting dedicated to the implementation and preparation of a Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) project, held at the University of Guelma on 16–17 December 2025. The meeting brought together Algerian institutions involved in the project UNIV-UP – Univers Network for Innovation & Valorization-UPscale.

The event aimed to foster in-depth discussions on the project’s strategic vision, objectives, and expected impact, as well as to ensure effective coordination among consortium members. Particular emphasis was placed on the structuring, alignment, and coordination of work packages and deliverables between Algerian and European partners, in preparation for the submission of the project proposal under the current Erasmus+ CBHE call for proposals.

During the two-day meeting, participants reviewed the project concept, clarified institutional roles and responsibilities, and agreed on implementation mechanisms to ensure coherence, complementarity, and compliance with Erasmus+ requirements. The discussions also focused on strengthening collaboration between university incubators, startups, and the broader innovation ecosystem, in line with the project’s vision of contributing to the national transformation of university incubators in Algeria.

The participation of the NEO Coordinator contributed to guiding the consortium on key Erasmus+ CBHE principles, eligibility rules, quality requirements, and strategic considerations for a competitive project submission. This involvement also reaffirmed the NEO’s role in accompanying Algerian higher education institutions throughout the project development and implementation cycle
