The National Erasmus+ Office in Algeria organized a seminar on the Development and Implementation of the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) in Algerian higher education, held on 2–3 July 2025 at the Polytechnic School of Architecture and Urbanism (EPAU) in Algiers. This event was part of the country’s broader reform agenda aimed at aligning education and training systems with labor market needs and promoting the quality and recognition of qualifications.
The NQF is a strategic tool designed to harmonize diplomas, enhance transparency across learning pathways, and ensure that acquired qualifications correspond to real competencies needed in the job market. However, its implementation remains complex due to limited awareness among institutions, the need for coordinated inter-ministerial efforts, and challenges related to adapting curricula and assessment methodologies. This seminar aimed to address these gaps by raising awareness, building capacities, and engaging all relevant stakeholders in a structured dialogue.
