Professor Mohamed Boudour, Coordinator of the National Erasmus+ Office (NEO) in Algeria, took part in the “Preservation of Heritage and Cultural Landscapes” workshop, held as part of the Italo-Algerian archaeological mission. This significant event took place at Abbes Laghrour University in Khenchela on October 30, 2024, gathering experts, researchers, and representatives from various Algerian universities. Attendees included the Italian Cultural Center and a delegation from the Politecnico di Milano, highlighting the importance of international collaboration in heritage preservation.
During the workshop, Professor Boudour led a session spotlighting Erasmus+ opportunities within the European Union, emphasizing the advantages available to Algerian institutions for fostering partnerships with European collaborators. He also introduced the Algeria-Italy joint call for proposals, encouraging Algerian universities and researchers to seize this unique funding opportunity for joint projects with Italy.
This workshop served as a platform to strengthen connections between Algerian and international stakeholders, paving the way for groundbreaking collaborations in the preservation of Algeria’s rich cultural heritage.
