On 16 October 2025, Prof. Latifa Negadi from the University of Tlemcen and Dr. Ibtissam Touhami from the University Centre of Aflou represented Algeria at the Final Conference of the PROFFORMANCE+ Project, held in Budapest, Hungary, as part of a Training and Cooperation Activity (TCA) supported by the Erasmus+ office of Algeria in partnership with the Hungarian Tempus Public Foundation (TPF).
Nominated by the National Erasmus+ Office in Algeria, the two academics serve as PROFFORMANCE+ Ambassadors, joining peers from 14 countries to exchange experiences on improving teaching and learning quality in higher education.
Coordinated by the Ministry of Culture and Innovation (Hungary), the PROFFORMANCE+ project aims to enhance the quality and competitiveness of higher education in the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) and partner countries. It supports teachers and institutions in developing innovative, inclusive, digital, international, and sustainable teaching practices.
The final event, “From Vision to Action,” showcased the project’s main outcomes — including the PROFFORMANCE Assessment Tool (PAT), Teaching Excellence Database, and Short Courses — and introduced a Simulation Game designed to help stakeholders develop SMART actions for quality enhancement.
This participation strengthens Algeria’s engagement with international higher-education initiatives and promotes the integration of PROFFORMANCE tools and methodologies into national contexts.
