From 1 to 3 October 2025, the SPHERE 2025 Annual Conference and the Bologna Process Symposium were held in Bucharest, Romania, bringing together representatives of National Erasmus+ Offices (NEOs), Higher Education Reform Experts (HEREs), and members of the Bologna Follow-Up Group (BFUG) to discuss the future of higher education reform.
Algeria was represented by Mr. Korichi Mourad and Mr. Hamdi Rachid, members of the HEREs team, alongside Mr. Mohamed Boudour, Coordinator of the National Erasmus+ Office (NEO) Algeria. Their participation highlighted Algeria’s ongoing engagement in regional and international efforts to modernize higher education systems.
Discussions during the event focused on artificial intelligence in education, micro-credentials, sustainability, and STEM, while the Bologna Symposium explored the evolving priorities of the Bologna Process and its impact on institutions and learners across the European Higher Education Area (EHEA).
The Algerian delegation’s active contribution reinforced the country’s commitment to quality, innovation, and international cooperation in higher education reform, in line with the objectives of the SPHERE initiative and the Bologna Process.
